The Department of Microbiology, BCMCH Laboratory has proudly secured First Place in the Lab Week Reel Competition hosted by St. Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha, Changanasserry, earning a cash prize of ₹3000. Their impactful reel, titled “Lab Saves Life!”, creatively illustrated the vital and often underappreciated role of microbiology in saving lives through accurate diagnosis and timely intervention.

The reel was part of the Lab Week 2025 celebration, recognizing the essential contributions of laboratory professionals to patient care. Among several outstanding entries from across Kerala, the BCMCH team’s work stood out for its clarity, message, and storytelling quality.
