Believers Hospital Conducts Free Medical Camp at Kozhimala: A Heartfelt Initiative for Community Wellness

In a significant stride towards community healthcare, Believers Church Medical College Hospital successfully conducted a free medical camp on May 17, 2025, at St. Mary's UP School, Kozhimala. This compassionate initiative was organized in association with the Oruma Residents and Welfare Association, aiming to extend quality medical services to underserved populations in the area.

The camp witnessed overwhelming participation, with 192 individuals benefiting from the services, including 30 residents from ASHA BHAVAN orphanage. This initiative is a shining example of compassionate healthcare delivery, emphasizing care for the marginalized and vulnerable.

A multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff from Believers Hospital played a pivotal role in providing medical consultation, basic diagnostics, and health education. Services offered included:

  • General medical check-ups

  • Blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring

  • Distribution of necessary medicines

  • Counseling on lifestyle diseases and preventive care

The medical team also took the time to interact personally with the residents, providing not just medical support but also emotional encouragement and reassurance—especially to the children and elderly from the orphanage.

The event saw active coordination from local volunteers and school authorities, ensuring seamless flow and crowd management. The camp atmosphere was one of warmth, care, and solidarity, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Special thanks go to:

  • The organizing committee of Oruma Residents and Welfare Association

  • St. Mary's UP School for hosting the event

  • The dedicated team from Believers Hospital for their selfless service

Such events reiterate the importance of collaborative healthcare efforts and strengthen the bridge between tertiary hospitals and community care.

Let this be a reminder that healthcare is not just a profession, but a mission.
