In a momentous gathering, hemophilia patients convened for an inaugural meeting aimed at enhancing care and support for their condition. The meeting, which brought together experts from various fields, focused on leveraging expertise in Orthopedics, Physical and Medical Rehabilitation, Pathology, and Hematology to improve patient outcomes.

The event was presided over by Reverend Father Sijo Pandapallil, whose leadership and guidance set the tone for the informative discussions that followed. Attendees were privileged to hear from distinguished speakers including:

  • Dr. Geomcy George: A renowned expert in the field of Hematology, who shared invaluable insights into the latest advancements in hemophilia management.
  • Mr. Jimmy (Hemophilia Federation of India): Provided a comprehensive overview of the support and resources available through the Hemophilia Federation of India, empowering patients with knowledge and assistance.
  • Prof. Unnikrishnan (Self-Help Group Pathanamthitta): Shed light on the importance of community support and the role of self-help groups in fostering solidarity and resilience among hemophilia patients.
  • Dr. Ani Thampi: Introduced the innovative Hemophilia Card, a vital tool for patients to access specialized care and treatment protocols efficiently.

The meeting also featured contributions from esteemed healthcare professionals, including Ms. Mini Sara Thomas, Chief Nursing Officer, and Drs. Roshin Mary Varkey, Thomas Mathew, Vinoo Mathew Cherian, and Bonnie Anna George. Together, they discussed the range of support services, surgical interventions, and specialized expertise available to hemophilia patients, offering hope and reassurance to those in attendance.
