Background: A 48-year-old male presented at Chinchpada Christian Hospital with a history of abdominal distension and early satiety persisting for three weeks. A month prior, the patient had experienced severe acute abdominal pain, necessitating hospitalization. Notably, he disclosed a personal history of habitual alcohol consumption.

Clinical Presentation: On examination, a 15*12cm nontender upper abdomen smooth well-defined swelling was palpated. The swelling was dull to percussion. Based on clinical evaluation, a provisional diagnosis of a Pseudopancreatic cyst was made, a diagnosis later confirmed by ultrasound.

Surgical Intervention: To address the Pseudopancreatic cyst, the patient underwent a laparotomy for internal drainage, specifically a cystogastrostomy. The surgical procedure successfully drained approximately 1.5 liters of greyish fluid from the cyst. The patient's postoperative recovery was favorable, marking a crucial step towards healing.

Postoperative Care and Recovery: Post-surgery, the patient was kept nil per os (NPO) for two days, gradually transitioning to graded oral fluids. By the 4th to 7th postoperative days, the patient was initiated on a soft diet. Notably, the recovery process included not only physical rehabilitation but also considerations for the patient's psychological well-being.

A Life-Altering Decision: In a poignant turn of events, the patient, deeply impacted by his health journey, decided to make a profound change. Moved by the experience and the support received at Chinchpada Christian Hospital, he resolved never to consume alcohol again.
