NEWSBREAK: Celebrating Successful Interventional Radiology Cases
🏵️🏵️NEWSBREAK🏵️🏵️ Celebrating Successful Interventional Radiology Cases
We are delighted to share the success of five Interventional Radiology cases performed last week at Believers Church Medical College Hospital. With a heart full of gratitude, we thank God for the opportunity to serve these patients and make a difference in their lives.
Case 1 - PTBD with Bilateral Metallic Stenting
The first case involved a patient diagnosed with inoperable hilar cholangiocarcinoma. Our Interventional Radiology team skillfully performed percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) with bilateral metallic stenting to alleviate the biliary obstruction and improve the patient's quality of life.
Case 2 - PTBD with Metallic Stenting for Gastric Cancer
In the second case, a postoperative gastric cancer patient had metastatic lymphadenopathy causing biliary obstruction. Our experts performed PTBD with metallic stenting to relieve the obstruction, providing much-needed relief to the patient.
Case 3 - Antegrade Ureteric Stenting
Our skilled team performed antegrade ureteric stenting in a patient suffering from a distal ureteric calculus. The procedure successfully removed the calculus and restored normal urinary flow.
Case 4 - Superselective Embolisation for Kidney Laceration
In a road traffic accident (RTA) case with splenic and left kidney laceration, our team carried out superselective left renal artery embolisation and lower polar selective splenic artery embolisation. The precise intervention helped control bleeding and saved the patient's life.
Case 5 - Transarterial Chemo Embolisation (TACE) for HCC
The last case involved a patient with chronic liver disease (CLD) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our Interventional Radiology team performed transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) to target and treat the cancerous cells in the liver, providing hope for improved outcomes.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tom and the Cathlab Team for their unwavering support and dedication. We also acknowledge our colleagues who refer patients to Interventional Radiology, enabling us to provide timely and effective treatments.
As we continue to explore new frontiers in Interventional Radiology, we request your prayers for our IR team. Their expertise and careful approach are essential in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
At Believers Church Medical College Hospital, we are committed to providing cutting-edge medical interventions and compassionate care, guided by the divine light of faith and hope.
