Observing World Hemophilia Day 2025: Raising Awareness, Embracing Equity

Believers Hospital, Thiruvalla, in collaboration with RAC†HAM, proudly organized an impactful awareness event to mark World Hemophilia Day on April 26, 2025, at the Central Courtyard.

While the global observance falls on April 17th, our event was strategically scheduled later to extend the message, ensuring continued awareness, support, and education around bleeding disorders, especially among underserved populations.

🌎 About World Hemophilia Day

World Hemophilia Day is a global effort to raise awareness about hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. These conditions, caused by deficiencies in clotting factors, can lead to excessive bleeding even from minor injuries — and if left untreated, they can be life-threatening.

The 2025 theme, “Access For All: Women and Girls Bleed Too”, underscores an often-overlooked reality:
While hemophilia is typically associated with males, women and girls with bleeding disorders face significant challenges, often going undiagnosed, misunderstood, or untreated.
