Day 1 – Immersion into Core Medical Sciences

The opening day of IGNITE'25 began with a vibrant energy as students set off on their initial explorations.

🩸 Blood Bank Visit: Led by Sr. Titty Chacko, students learned about blood grouping, storage protocols, and drawing procedures, witnessing the lifeline of emergency care in action.

🔬 Central Laboratory Visit: Sr. Ancy Ben Zacharia introduced students to the operational aspects of laboratory work and demonstrated microscopic examination of blood cells, highlighting the crucial role labs play in diagnosis.

🩺 Emergency Room (ER) Introduction: Dr. Lailu Mathews and Dr. Alina educated students on triaging and ER functionality, emphasizing swift clinical decision-making.

🥼 ICU Tour: Under the guidance of Dr. Tinson Varghese Thomas, students gained insights into the working of life-saving equipment like ventilators.
