The Invisible Hands: A Journey of Hope and Healing! Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Believers Hospital

The Invisible Hands: A Journey of Hope and Healing

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Believers Hospital recently witnessed an extraordinary story—one of hope, resilience, and the power of teamwork.

A Mother's Unyielding Hope

Mrs. Lekha, a 37-year-old woman from Harippad, arrived at our hospital at 30 weeks of pregnancy with a long history of serious medical conditions and multiple pregnancy losses. This was her eighth pregnancy, and she was admitted to Unit 1 of the OBG department, facing immense medical challenges.

Her past was heartbreaking—six miscarriages and the loss of her seventh baby at six months of pregnancy. Yet, through it all, her hope remained unshaken.

A Complex Diagnosis, A Multidisciplinary Fight

Mrs. Lekha was battling:
🩸 Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
🩸 Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APLA)
🩸 Cortical Venous Thrombosis
🩸 Seizure Disorder
🩸 Gestational Hypertension

Determined to give her and her baby the best chance at survival, a multidisciplinary team was formed under the guidance of the Almighty and our beloved Kunjamma Ma’am. Experts from:
💙 Neurology
💙 Cardiology
💙 Rheumatology
💙 Neonatology
💙 Anesthesiology
worked tirelessly alongside the OBG Unit 1 team, ensuring continuous care and monitoring for both mother and baby.

Each day brought difficult decisions—should we continue the pregnancy longer, or deliver early to avoid complications? The fear of loss loomed over us, but we remained steadfast in our mission to protect both mother and child.

A Miracle Unfolds

At 34 weeks and 6 days, the time had come. A cesarean section was performed, and in a moment of pure joy, the cry of a newborn filled the operating room.

Mrs. Lekha had given birth to a healthy baby girl. 🎉

It was a moment of victorya miracle crafted by faith, medical expertise, and the invisible hands of divine guidance.

A Symbol of Faith and Resilience

On day 7, Mrs. Lekha was discharged, holding her miracle baby—a living testament to her strength, our team's dedication, and God’s grace.

This case was more than just a medical success. It was a powerful reminder that miracles happen when faith meets expertise.

🙏 All glory be to His name! 🙌
