The event took place in the Amphitheater at Believers Church Medical College Hospital (BCMCH), and it was an inspiring platform where Dr. Thomas Mathew, Senior Consultant in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at BCMCH, shared his remarkable journey of challenges, responding to God's call, and personal commitment. Dr. Thomas Mathew's Journey: Dr. Thomas Mathew's story captivated the audience as he recounted his incredible journey. Having excelled in his training in Physiotherapy at CMC, Vellore, he pursued further education in the United States, earning his Masters in Physiotherapy. He then established a highly successful practice with four large centers in Houston.

However, Dr. Mathew's deep sense of purpose and a calling to serve his people led him back to India. He made the courageous decision to leave behind his prosperous practice and embarked on a personal project to help needy children in Yelagiri, Tamil Nadu. His commitment to making a difference and his unwavering dedication were truly inspiring.

Learning the Compassionate Way: During his talk, titled "Learning the Compassionate Way," Dr. Mathew shared his experiences and the challenges he faced while implementing participatory action and research at the government tribal school in Yelagiri. The audience was captivated by his stories, which highlighted the importance of compassion and the transformative power of personal commitment.
