Believers Church Medical College Hospital Recognized as Best Training Site for George Washington University's Master's in Emergency Medicine in India; Dr. Binitha Varghese Tops Program

Believers Church Medical College Hospital (BCMCH) has yet again proven its mettle by being recognized as the best training site for the George Washington University - Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine in India. BCMCH is one of the 16 partner institutions in India for the prestigious MEM program, and it has consistently produced outstanding results since its inception in 2017.


The MEM program is a three-year Master's program in Emergency Medicine, designed to provide advanced training in emergency medicine and critical care to healthcare professionals. The program is highly competitive, and only a select few are accepted each year. The current intake strength of MEM is 146, and the 2020-2023 batch had 53 students who took the exams.


Believers Church Medical College Hospital has been associated with George Washington University since 2016, and it took the first batch of MEM students in 2017. Since then, BCMCH has produced exceptional results, with 6 students in 2017, 4 in 2018, 3 in 2019, 6 in 2020, 8 in 2021, 9 in 2022, and 10 in 2023.


The Graduation Ceremony for the 2023 batch was held on 30th June 2023, where the results were officially announced. The ceremony was a proud moment for BCMCH, as it was recognized as the best training site all over India. The faculty at BCMCH is known for their expertise, dedication, and commitment to providing quality education and training to their students.


Dr. Binitha Varghese, one of the students from the 2020-2023 batch, has made the hospital proud by securing the top position in both the theory and practical exams. Her exceptional performance has earned her the title of the overall best performer in the program. In addition, Dr. Kessia Abraham and Dr. Binitha Varghese have also been recognized for their outstanding thesis work.
